EGRIP

In 2022 a massive data leak involving the Unified State Register of Individual Entrepreneurs known as EGRIP or USRIP occurred in Russia. The breach exposed a database sized at 140GB containing extensive personal and professional information of approximately 16.8 million citizens registered as individual entrepreneurs. The incident resulted in the public disclosure of sensitive government records including identity details and business registration codes. The essence of the incident involves the exposure of state-level records on a large scale allowing for potential misuse of tax and identity information.
