In 2022 the Ukrainian furniture manufacturing and retail platform Elber suffered a data breach. The incident led to the exposure of sensitive user credentials and personal identifiers. Investigations revealed that the compromise included full names, unique nicknames, and electronic mail addresses. Furthermore, security was compromised by the leak of hashed passwords using the BCRYPT algorithm. The breach impacted approximately 4000 registered users who had interacted with the site for furniture purchases or account management.
