EmuParadise

In April 2018 the popular retro gaming website EmuParadise experienced a significant data breach. The incident resulted in the exposure of personal information belonging to over 1.1 million registered users. The compromised data included email addresses, IP addresses, usernames, and passwords stored as salted MD5 hashes. Following the security incident and increasing pressure regarding copyright issues, the site eventually removed its library of ROMs, although the community forum data had already been compromised by unauthorized actors.
