In July 2020 the Brazilian marketing agency Engrenagem Virtual suffered a significant data breach involving approximately 430000 user records. The incident exposed sensitive personal information due to a security vulnerability that allowed unauthorized access to their database. Following the discovery of the hack the company took the website offline to prevent further exploitation. The exposed data includes a wide range of personal identifiers used for marketing and customer profiling within the Brazilian market.
