In October 2024 the Brazilian electronic learning platform Ensinio suffered a significant data breach when an unauthorized actor gained access to its systems. The incident exposed sensitive personal information of approximately 160000 individuals including both students and administrators. The leaked dataset contains full names, usernames, email addresses, and phone numbers. Additionally, residential addresses, dates of birth, and passwords stored as hashes were also compromised. This breach poses a risk for phishing attacks and potential account takeovers due to the exposure of credentials and personal identifiers.
