EpicBot

In September 2019 the RuneScape botting provider EpicBot suffered a significant data breach affecting approximately 817000 users. The incident involved the unauthorized access and subsequent publication of a database on a popular hacking forum. Leaked information included sensitive user details such as usernames email addresses IP addresses and hashed passwords using MD5 with salt or BCrypt algorithms. This breach followed a previous security incident in 2016. The company did not provide official statements regarding the security failure or the extent of the compromise at the time.
