In September 2021 the domain registrar and web hosting provider Epik suffered a massive data breach attributed to the hacktivist group Anonymous. The breach was reportedly motivated by the companys history of providing services to controversial far right platforms. While the initial data dump was massive and disorganized containing gigabytes of internal company data a refined and cleaned version was subsequently released. This specific cleaned dataset focuses on extracted user information primarily identifying accounts through email addresses and connection logs linked to their infrastructure.
