In August 2019 the European job vacancy platform EuropaJobs suffered a significant data breach. The incident led to the exposure of personal information belonging to over 226000 users. The leaked dataset included sensitive details such as full names dates of birth and professional job applications alongside account credentials. Following the security breach the compromised database was leaked and circulated on a well known underground hacking forum. The platform has since become inactive but the data remains a risk for those affected due to the nature of the information disclosed.
