Evite

In April 2019 the social event planning service Evite became aware of a data breach affecting a legacy database containing records from 2013. The incident involved an unauthorized party gaining access to a data file that included a vast amount of sensitive user information. The compromised data spanned over 100 million unique records including plain text passwords for a significant portion of the users. This security failure exposed personal details such as full names and contact information to potential misuse.
