A dataset allegedly linked to the popular Russian OSINT Telegram bot known as Eye of God surfaced in July 2021. The incident involved the exposure of approximately 774000 records. Initial reports suggested a direct compromise of the service user base but subsequent analysis revealed the data was likely compiled through automated scraping or parsing techniques targeting Telegram platform metadata and individual profiles. The exposed information includes Telegram identifiers and associated personal contact details which can be used for social engineering or deanonymization efforts.
