In November 2019 the erotic community known as Facesitting Forum suffered a significant data breach. An unauthorized party managed to compromise the forum database resulting in the exposure of sensitive account information for approximately 48 thousand registered members. The compromised data included technical details such as IP addresses and account credentials. Specifically members passwords were stored as salted MD5 hashes which are considered cryptographically weak by modern standards and susceptible to cracking. This incident highlights the risks associated with niche adult forums and the importance of using unique passwords across different web services to prevent credential stuffing attacks.
