About this leak

In late 2020 a massive database from FerretCheck was leaked online. FerretCheck operated as a tool for cross-referencing Minecraft player accounts against previously compromised credentials to facilitate unauthorized access to gaming servers. The incident exposed an aggregate of data from approximately 80 different gaming servers. The total volume of the breach reached 19 million records comprising player nicknames and passwords hashed using the AuthMe algorithm. Additionally the collection included IP addresses and a subset of nearly 450 thousand unique email addresses making it a significant resource for credential stuffing attacks within the gaming community.
