In 2014 the Russian online sales platform Foreverpp.ru suffered a security breach resulting in the exposure of user account information. The incident impacted approximately 8 thousand individuals. The compromised data included user nicknames, email addresses, and IP addresses. Additionally, passwords were leaked in the form of MD5 hashes, which are considered cryptographically weak and susceptible to cracking by malicious actors, significantly compromising the security of the affected accounts.
