Fotolog

A massive security breach at the photo sharing social network Fotolog resulted in the exposure of millions of user records. The incident involved the compromise of a database containing personal identifiers and security credentials. The leaked data which appeared in late 2018 included unique email addresses and usernames along with unsalted SHA-256 password hashes. This vulnerability allowed attackers to potentially crack passwords and gain unauthorized access to accounts. Shortly after this major data exposure the platform ceased operations and was officially closed in early 2019.
