In 2019 the Russian forum dedicated to quadcopters and drone enthusiasts Fpv1.ru suffered a data breach. The incident led to the exposure of sensitive user information including email addresses and nicknames. Technical details revealed that the dump also contained IP addresses and user passwords stored as MD5 hashes with salt. The scale of the leak is relatively small but poses risks for users who reuse credentials across multiple platforms especially within the drone technology community.
