AdultFriendFinder 2015

In May 2015 the adult social networking site Adult FriendFinder suffered a major security breach. Attackers exploited a Local File Inclusion vulnerability to gain access to the database servers. The incident exposed sensitive personal information of nearly 4 million members including highly confidential details regarding sexual orientation and relationship status. The breach was particularly damaging due to the nature of the service and the potential for extortion or social engineering against the affected users. Data was eventually leaked on various underground forums.
