In October 2020 the New York based personalized nutrition company Gainful suffered a data breach impacting over 102 thousand users and 305 thousand orders. The incident resulted in the exposure of sensitive customer information including email addresses and detailed order histories. Additionally the data included payment method details and the last four digits of credit or debit cards. Reports indicate that the company did not officially notify the affected individuals about the security incident at the time of discovery.
