GameGrin

In October 2018 the gaming website GameGrin suffered a data breach that exposed the personal information of approximately 90 thousand users. The incident involved the unauthorized access and disclosure of the site member database. The compromised data included user account details such as email addresses and usernames. Additionally technical identifiers like IP addresses were leaked along with passwords that were stored using the weak MD5 hashing algorithm making them vulnerable to cracking by malicious actors.
