GamerSoul

In May 2020 the gaming forum GamerSoul suffered a significant data breach resulting in the exposure of sensitive user information. The incident involved an unauthorized intrusion into the forum database which was running on the vBulletin platform. The leaked data contained personal identifiers and security credentials for approximately 152 thousand members. Security researchers noted that passwords were stored using both vBulletin specific hashing and the more secure Bcrypt algorithm. The platform has since ceased operations and the website is no longer accessible to the public.
