In February 2023 the Ukrainian online retailer Game-Shop experienced a significant data security incident. This breach resulted in the unauthorized exposure of sensitive user information from their database. The incident specifically impacted customers of the platform which specializes in gaming consoles and video games. The leaked data includes personal identifiers and authentication credentials for over 45 thousand registered users. The compromised information was subsequently circulated on various underground forums and data sharing platforms posing a risk of unauthorized account access and phishing attacks for the affected individuals.
