Gameturk

In November 2015 the Turkish gaming portal Gameturk suffered a major data breach impacting over 700 thousand users. The incident involved the unauthorized access and extraction of the community database which was running on vBulletin software. The exposed information included sensitive credentials and personal identifiers. Security researchers noted that passwords were stored as salted MD5 hashes which are vulnerable to cracking. The portal has since ceased operations and the service is no longer active.
