In 2022 the Russian online radio and podcast platform Get-Radio.ru suffered a significant data breach. An unauthorized party gained access to the service backend database resulting in the exposure of personal information for approximately 50000 registered users. The leaked dataset contained sensitive details including full names and contact information. Notably the breach also included user passwords which were secured using the bcrypt hashing algorithm. This incident highlights ongoing vulnerabilities in digital media platforms targeting specific regional audiences.
