Ge.tt

In May 2017 the file sharing service Ge.tt suffered a data breach that exposed sensitive user information. The compromised data was later discovered for sale on dark web marketplaces in early 2019 as part of a larger collection of breaches. The incident involved the exposure of millions of unique email addresses along with names and social media profile identifiers. Furthermore the breach included passwords stored as SHA256 hashes which poses a significant security risk for users who reuse passwords across different platforms.
