GOBPO

In August 2017 the broker website known as Gobpo suffered a significant data breach. The incident involved the exposure of sensitive user credentials because the platform stored information in an insecure manner. The leaked database contained personal identifiers and account access details. Investigation revealed that the breach originated from a vulnerability in the web application which allowed unauthorized access to the backend storage. Due to the lack of encryption for sensitive fields the impact on affected users was immediate. The service is no longer operational following this and other security concerns.
