In December 2024 the Israeli tourism website Gotravel.co.il suffered a cyberattack resulting in a data breach. The incident led to the unauthorized exposure of database tables containing user records and travel information. The leaked data includes personal identifiers such as full names and contact details alongside sensitive information like account passwords and birth dates. The breach impacted approximately 60000 users of the platform exposing their private trip details and site interactions. Security researchers identified that the compromised tables contained comprehensive user profiles used for booking and planning travel within and outside Israel.
