In November 2017 the Russian regional classifieds platform Gubernia.ru suffered a significant data breach. The incident resulted in the unauthorized exposure of personal information belonging to approximately 96,000 users from the Arkhangelsk region. The leaked database included contact details and identity information which was subsequently circulated in the public domain. The breach affected individuals who used the site for posting free advertisements and local commerce.
