In July 2022 the Russian household appliance retailer HdSeller.ru suffered a data breach. The incident involved an unauthorized disclosure of the customer database containing personal details of approximately one thousand users. The leaked information included full names, mobile phone numbers, and email addresses. Additionally the database exposed technical identifiers such as IP addresses and account passwords stored as MD5 hashes which are susceptible to cracking. This breach poses risks of phishing and unauthorized account access for the affected customers.
