HeadHunter

In 2018 a significant data breach affected the Russian recruitment platform HeadHunter. The incident resulted in the exposure of personal information belonging to approximately 827000 users. The leaked data set included sensitive professional and personal details such as full names, email addresses, phone numbers, Skype IDs, geographic locations, and specific career information including professions and expected salaries. The breach likely originated from unauthorized access to the database or an insecure API endpoint allowing the bulk extraction of resume data.
