In September 2018 the platform suffered a security breach that led to the exposure of its user database. The incident resulted in the compromise of account credentials and technical identifiers for over five thousand users. Analysis of the leak revealed that the data was extracted directly from the forum database including salted MD5 password hashes and connection logs. This breach highlights the common vulnerabilities associated with older forum software versions and weak hashing algorithms.
