About this leak
In late 2014 and throughout 2015 Hilton Worldwide suffered a significant security breach affecting its point of sale systems. Cybercriminals deployed malware designed to harvest payment card information including cardholder names credit card numbers security codes and expiration dates. The breach occurred across several Hilton hotel brands globally. Hilton confirmed the incident in November 2015 after discovering the unauthorized software on their systems. The investigation revealed two separate waves of attacks where malware targeted the payment processing systems at various hotel properties.
