In June 2017 the online community for Siberian Husky enthusiasts known as Husky Owners suffered a data breach. The incident involved the exposure of sensitive user information from the forum database. The breach was attributed to vulnerabilities in the forum software which allowed unauthorized access to the member records. Data exposed included account credentials and personal identifiers of approximately 22000 users. The leaked information was subsequently shared within the hacking community and added to breach notification services.
