In February 2015 the Minecraft gaming server ICrafts.su suffered a significant security breach. An unauthorized party managed to gain access to the backend database containing user credentials. The incident resulted in the exposure of approximately 300000 unique records. The leaked information included sensitive data such as user email addresses, nicknames, and hashed passwords. This breach posed a risk to users who reused the same credentials across other platforms especially given the popularity of private gaming servers during that period.
