In October 2014 the gaming cheat website ILikeCheats suffered a significant data breach. The incident involved the exposure of approximately 189 thousand user accounts. The leaked database contained sensitive information including usernames, email addresses, and IP addresses. Additionally, salted MD5 passwords were included in the leak, which were susceptible to cracking. This breach exposed a community of gamers who utilized third party software and tools for various online games.
