In June 2022 the Greek professional tool and equipment supplier Ilka.gr suffered a data breach. The incident involved an unauthorized access to the web server resulting in the exposure of customer personal information. The leaked data includes customer identifiers and contact details which were subsequently shared on various dark web forums and hacking communities. This breach posed a risk to registered users regarding potential phishing attacks and social engineering attempts using their business related contact information.
