In November 2019 the Indonesian business forum IndoMoneyTalk was compromised by unknown attackers. The breach resulted in the exposure of sensitive user credentials and identification data. The incident affected approximately 23000 individuals who were registered on the platform. The leak included salted MD5 password hashes which pose a risk of being decrypted through brute force or rainbow table attacks. The database dump was later circulated in the public domain and indexed by security researchers.
