In July 2024 a significant data breach affected Infoflot one of the largest cruise operators in Russia specializing in river and sea travel. The incident resulted in the exposure of personal information belonging to approximately 2 million customers. The leaked database includes sensitive personal identifiers and contact details which appeared on various darknet forums and data sharing platforms. The breach likely occurred due to a vulnerability in the companys internal database management system or an unauthorized access to their cloud storage environments.
