IntimShop

In September 2022 the Russian online retailer IntimShop suffered a significant data breach. The incident led to the unauthorized disclosure of sensitive customer information stored in their database. The compromised data included full names, mobile phone numbers, and email addresses. Additionally, user passwords were exposed in MD5 hash format which is considered cryptographically weak by modern security standards. The breach affected approximately 128 thousand registered users of the platform. The leak was subsequently distributed on various underground forums and data breach aggregators highlighting vulnerabilities in the security posture of the e-commerce site.
