In July 2023 the Russian tour operator Intourist suffered a significant data breach attributed to pro Ukrainian threat actors. The incident involved the unauthorized access and subsequent publication of a database containing approximately 5.5 million records. The leaked information includes personal details of tourists such as full names, contact numbers, residential addresses, dates of birth, and citizenship. Additionally, sensitive travel related data including passport details and specific trip dates were exposed. Reports indicate the data set was highly unorganized and contained redundant entries.
