In July 2024 the Pakistani ecommerce giant Ishopping.pk experienced a significant data security incident. A database containing sensitive customer information was exposed and subsequently made public on the dark web or via underground forums. The breach included personal details of approximately 600000 registered users. The compromised data points include email addresses, full names, physical mailing addresses, and mobile phone numbers. This incident poses a high risk of phishing, identity theft, and targeted social engineering attacks against the affected customer base in Pakistan.
