In March 2020 the Russian people search service Janaidu.ru was targeted by a large scale parsing operation. The incident resulted in the extraction of approximately 45000 individual records from the platform. The data collected during this event included personal identifying information such as full names along with specific geographical data regarding places of birth and current places of residence. This type of automated data harvesting often exploits public facing interfaces to aggregate sensitive user profiles into structured databases for potential misuse in social engineering or identity tracking.
