Jefit

In August 2020 the fitness tracking application Jefit suffered a significant data breach. The incident involved the unauthorized access and subsequent sale of a database containing approximately 9 million user records. The compromised data included sensitive information such as usernames email addresses IP addresses and salted password hashes using vBulletin or Argon2 algorithms. The breach was attributed to a vulnerability exploited by malicious actors who then distributed the dataset within the dark web community.
