JetAudio

In November 2008 the multimedia software company Cowon America known for JetAudio experienced a significant security breach. The incident involved an unauthorized access to the company forum database which was powered by vBulletin software. The compromise resulted in the exposure of sensitive user credentials and personal details for approximately 17.5 thousand registered members. Hackers managed to extract data by exploiting vulnerabilities in the forum platform leading to the theft of account information including hashed passwords and technical identifiers like IP addresses.
