JobAndTalent

In February 2018 the JobAndTalent employment platform suffered a significant security breach that compromised the personal data of approximately 11 million users. The leaked information included full names email addresses IP addresses and passwords stored as sha1 hashes with salt. The data later appeared for sale on dark web marketplaces in early 2019 as part of a large collection of database leaks. The incident highlighted vulnerabilities in older hashing algorithms and the risks associated with large scale recruitment platforms.
