Kari Club

In July 2022 a significant data breach affected the Kari Club loyalty program managed by the Russian footwear and accessories retailer Kari. The incident involved an unauthorized intrusion into the bonus program service infrastructure. While the comprehensive internal database allegedly contained detailed information such as email addresses and dates of birth the publicly released dataset primarily consists of around 1.3 million records featuring user names and mobile phone numbers. This leak poses risks related to targeted phishing and unsolicited marketing campaigns directed at the stores customers.
