In June 2022 the Russian news portal Kemcdo.ru based in the Kemerovo region suffered a targeted cyber attack. The incident resulted in the unauthorized access and subsequent publication of a database containing personal information of approximately 7000 registered users. The leaked dataset included sensitive details such as full names, physical addresses, contact phone numbers, and email addresses. This breach exposed local residents to potential phishing and social engineering threats.
