The Polish National School of Judiciary and Public Prosecution KSSiP experienced a significant data breach on February 21 2020. The incident involved the unauthorized exposure of a database containing information of approximately 50000 users including judges and prosecutors. The breach occurred due to technical errors during a system migration which left an unsecured backup accessible to third parties. Leaked data included personal identifiers and account credentials stored using the weak MD5 hashing algorithm making them vulnerable to cracking. This incident raised major security concerns due to the sensitive nature of the professional roles held by the affected individuals.
