Kwork

In March 2022 the Kwork freelance marketplace suffered a data breach involving the exposure of user account details. The incident resulted in the public release of information for approximately 166000 users. The compromised data included email addresses, unique usernames, and passwords stored as MD5 hashes. This leak poses a risk to users who reuse passwords across different platforms, as MD5 is considered a weak hashing algorithm susceptible to cracking.
