In February 2023 hackers compromised the official portal of Kyiv city government as part of a coordinated cyberattack targeting approximately 20 Ukrainian state websites. The breach resulted in the exfiltration of a database containing personal information of approximately 127000 users. The stolen data includes full names dates of birth residential addresses and identification document details. The incident highlights the ongoing cyber risks faced by municipal administrative systems during periods of heightened geopolitical tension.
