In June 2022 a significant data breach allegedly linked to Kyivstar customers was identified on dark web forums. The database contained approximately 15 million records. Although the data was associated with the mobile operator the incident likely originated from a vulnerability or unauthorized access at Privatbank according to security researchers. The leaked information includes sensitive personal details such as full names phone numbers physical addresses and tax identification numbers which poses a significant risk to the affected individuals.
