In February 2020 a database allegedly belonging to the major online retailer Lamoda was shared online. The incident involved approximately 880 thousand records containing personal customer details. While the company stated that the data originated from other sources and not their primary systems the breach exposed sensitive user information including full names and contact details. The leak was widely discussed on dark web forums and cybersecurity news outlets as part of a series of retail sector data exposures in the region.
